A little bit of mystery, a lot of great food. Taste of Tuawhiti is a unique progressive dinner across three unique restaurants: kingi, Café Hanoi, and Ghost Street, all tucked into Tuawhiti Lane at Britomart.
Where you start is a surprise. Arrive at The Hotel Britomart lobby, grab a glass of bubbles, and find out where your first course will be served. From there, you’ll move between restaurants, swapping places with other guests as you experience a curated three-course meal, with each course and wine match served in a different venue.
Expect fresh sustainably sourced produce at kingi, with dishes like line-caught snapper with almond sauce, smoked eel gribiche, grape.
At Café Hanoi, modern Vietnamese flavours take centre stage with dishes like chargrilled lime leaf chicken thighs with charred cos, pickled courgette, green herb sauce, and crushed peanuts
And at Ghost Street, bold Beijing-inspired cooking shines in plates like the sizzling Xinjiang lamb ribs with watercress, red onion, cumin, fennel, and chilli oil.
