DeBretts Kitchen has undergone a vibrant transformation and now welcomes you as Vivace Restaurant & Bar at Hotel DeBrett!

It's a fresh new chapter that blends boutique elegance with the spirited flavours Vivace has been celebrated for since the 1990s. Still perched on Level 1 of the iconic Hotel DeBrett, Vivace carries forward its legacy of exceptional cuisine, warm hospitality, and stylish ambiance. The reimagined menu features a contemporary New Zealand–European twist, crafted for sharing and paired with expertly mixed cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list.

Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or indulging in their signature 1920s-inspired High Tea, you'll be greeted by the same friendly team and enveloped in the art deco charm that defines the space. By day, the glass-roofed atrium floods the restaurant with natural light; by night, it transforms into a cosy haven under the stars—perfect for relaxed dining, fine wines, and attentive service.

For special celebrations or intimate gatherings, Vivace offers semi-private dining areas that provide a sense of exclusivity while keeping you connected to the vibrant energy of the main restaurant and atrium.
