Ka Mua Ka Muri

Ka Mua Ka Muri is a whakataukī/māori proverb that loosely means to walk backwards into the future. This is referencing knowing where you’re from to know where you’re going.

Now in its fifth year, Ka Mua Ka Muri is an engaging web series featuring music performances and interviews with talented musicians and songwriters from Auckland's vibrant underground music scene. Filmed in the unique setting at Auckland Central City Library, this series offers an intimate backdrop that contrasts with traditional live performance spaces.
