Disco Pigs follows the characters Pig and Runt, who have been inseparable since birth until a new discovery occurs during one wild, violent and chaotic night. Originally performed by Cillian Murphy and Eileen Walsh in 1996, this timeless play continues to resonate.

A series celebrating the best of Aotearoa’s theatre canon, reintroducing artists and audiences to landmark works that shaped the form. This second instalment spotlights three plays by queer playwrights, directed by artists from Basement Theatre’s past, present, and future, and performed by all‑star casts.
